Industry engagement will be critical to our ability to forecast these needs, and to clearly assess our strategic priorities over the next five years.
For this reason, the Skills Commission has a team of staff committed to industry engagement activities and our approach to engaging with representatives from across the skills system – will be the focus of our efforts early on.
We will be building on the work of the Training and Skills Commission and our relationships with Industry Skills Councils, who will continue to provide advice about needs across various industry sectors.
Industry Skills Councils (ISCs) have been established to strengthen industry’s voice in skills and workforce development, and to ensure that funding for skills and training is directly aligned to industry priorities.
