A student-run café, a diversity and inclusion administrator working in the Arts, a Riverland carpentry apprentice passionate about on-site mental health initiatives and a female automotive electrical trainee are just four of the exceptional winners in this year’s South Australian Training Awards.
Presented on 21 September 2023, the awards recognised the achievements of the state’s best vocational education and training (VET) students, apprentices, trainees, trainers, training providers, schools and employers and highlight the quality training opportunities available across the State.
The awards covered 13 categories - six for individuals and seven for organisations. In addition, a Voters’ Choice Award, was presented to the public’s favourite individual finalist.
This year, we were thrilled to introduce the Excellence in Diversity Award as a state-based award recognising organisations that demonstrate outstanding commitment to students and employees through helping them overcome significant barriers or disadvantage, and successfully participate in accredited and non-accredited VET training.
