The South Australian Skills Commission (the Commission) acknowledges Ultra Tune Australia’s (the franchisors) public statements made this afternoon regarding the Commission’s prohibition of Mr Scott Thornton, the franchisee of Ultra Tune Aberfoyle Park, Seaford and Unley:
Response to Skills Commission of SA | Ultra Tune
The statements made by Mr Thornton in yesterday’s media coverage of the Commission’s investigation into his direct breaches of the South Australian Skills Act 2008 confirm a deeply concerning lack of understanding of his obligations as a former registered employer.
The Commission remains committed to providing direct assistance to Ultra Tune Australia to confirm that all Apprentice supervision requirements are being met across its franchisee network in South Australia. The Commission also acknowledges the public commitment that Ultra Tune Australia has made to ensure the proper supervision and training of apprentices across its network.
