Datacom staff access entry-level traineeships in business or information technology; Certificate IV qualifications in leadership and management, human resources management, training and assessment, and information technology; and Diploma qualifications in leadership and management, vocational education, and project management.

Employees directly relate learning content to their roles through Datacom’s Learning Hub, where around 780 hours a month of off-the-job training are delivered during work hours in a collaborative workshop format.

Over a recent 12-month period, staff achievements included achieving 136 traineeships (119 in business, 17 in technology), commencing 87 traineeships, and 55 permanent career promotions.

By encouraging employees to explore roles and career opportunities beyond their expectations, Datacom’s Career Pathways Program significantly enhances staff engagement and retention, thereby improving business outcomes.
