The mission of the Adelaide Training & Employment Centre (ATEC) is to contribute to employment growth and skills development in support of the South Australian community.
A not-for-profit industry-led training organisation, ATEC specialises in providing skills training to over 4,000 currently enrolled school students, school leavers, apprentices, jobseekers, businesses, and existing workers.
Qualifications are offered in mechanical engineering, metal fabrication, engineering production, general construction, and electrical engineering; workplace safety is the focus for individual units of competency offered.
ATEC’s progressive approach includes a rolling intake system, identifying and responding to emerging training needs, customising solutions for learners and employers, collaborating with industry partners, regularly measuring success for improvement, investing in skilled trainers with industry expertise, and emphasising quality throughout the organisation.
The outcomes of the customised construction and engineering training, designed for and delivered to indigenous youth in the APY Lands Trade Training Centre, demonstrates how ATEC’s positive ethos inspires success.
The Motor Trade Association’s (MTA’s) registered training organisation, MTA Training and Employment (MTA T&E), delivers leading vocational education and training to more than 1,000 learners across 9 automotive trades.

In an Australian first, MTA Training and Employment offers new dual-trade apprenticeships, combining light or heavy vehicle apprenticeships with an automotive electrical apprenticeship that will prepare apprentices for a rapidly evolving automotive industry with increasing numbers of zero and low emission vehicles.
In response to growing industry skill requirements, MTA Training and Employment also offers upskill training pathways for businesses and technicians.
MTA Training and Employment’s School Pathways Program and Automotive Mentor Program reinforce its reputation as a leader in trade training.
