Architectural Stonemasonry Regional Competition
On 22 April 2026, it was the first time the category has run in Australia in over 30 years. Held at Adelaide Gaol in partnership with FCTA - Building Careers, the competition marked a revival for this highly skilled trade.
By endorsing a new national competition package, the Commission is not only addressing critical skills shortages but ensuring the artistry of stonemasonry remains a cornerstone of the construction sector, as we look toward the WorldSkills Australia National Championships in Adelaide in 2027.
